WHAT IS THE GLOBAL MISSION INITIATIVE?

The Global Mission Initiative (GMI) supports and challenges North American Anglicans to obey Christ’s Great Commission. The GMI works with all ACNA dioceses and congregations to encourage, coordinate and expand global mission engagement for maximum Kingdom impact.

HOW DOES THE GMI DO ITS WORK?

The GMI works through a network of volunteer GMI Advocates from ACNA dioceses and is led by Jenny Noyes. The provincial GMI team is made up of one GMI Advocate appointed by the bishop in each ACNA diocese. In addition, each GMI Advocate is encouraged to build a GMI leadership team from among global mission point people in each congregation in that diocese. Whether you are interested in giving, going, serving, praying, advocating, or partnering to support cross-cultural missions, we can help you get started!

Anglican Diocese of the Carolinas GMI

The Global Mission Initiative of the Anglican Diocese of the Carolinas (ADOC) supports and challenges diocesan churches to focus on today’s global mission frontiers and to obey Christ in the fullness of his charge to make disciples to the ends of the earth through mission sending and partnerships.The Anglican Diocese of the Carolinas GMI Advocate team is ideally composed of representatives from each congregation within the diocese. The ADOC GMI meets quarterly via Zoom to share global mission education resources and ideas, promote global mission awareness through Epiphany studies and World Mission Sunday, and to be a catalyst for global mission prayer and involvement in ADOC congregations.
